If you don't mind losing the existing data, you can reinstall the XP operating system. This will allow you to modify the size of the partition, but you will looks all the data on the partition.
Why do you feel you need a larger partition? Are you having problems with the present configuration? Are you getting error messages?

i currently have it installed on a partition of 5GB i think and it keeps popping up need more space
i cant apply any updates on the system because there is not enough room for them to download |

If you can't afford the partition program, then reinstallation of XP is the only other option I know of (resetting the partition size during installation). Keep in mind that Microsoft will only allow so many installations of XP. If you run out of the allowed activiations, then you'll need to buy a new XP license which is more expensive than the cost of the partition software. Good Luck...
