The file was NOT attached.
Did the file have one of these extensions?
Valid file extensions: bmp dmp doc gif html jpe jpeg jpg log pdf png psd rar txt zip
If not, then the file won't attach to the PCHF forum.

If the file does have one of these extensions, then what steps did you take to attach the file?

Dear Gandalf,

The runscan was in .run format. I tried to re-save as .doc but got nothing intelligent. Seems strange Runscanner would save its file in a format that cannot be posted when they tell you to post for help. How can I save in a postable format?

Thanks

Hi there Highball,

We do not support the Runscanner product, nor do we offer detailed breakdowns of the output from their applications. If you need more general help with regard to PC security or anything related to that, please continue to post.

The closest thing to runscanner that is handled here is HiJackThis, if you'd like to post a HJT log here, please do the Prework and post those logs, along with a HijackThis Log in the "HiJackThis Logs" forum

Thanks Zachary but now I'm an really confused. PC Mag sent me to RunScan which in turn lists PC Help Forum as one of several forums that will analyze the runscan output. Perhaps the staff will want to look into this inconsistency.

I'm not familiar with HJT but will look into it.
