hi all, i have a acer travelmate 2312lm lap top, basicaly i just want to know if windows xp is built in? I want to wipe my travelmate and was told i could do this without the xp reinstall disk. Is this correct and will i need the reinstall disk. many thanks

Hi Cliffy.No XP is not buily in,if you need to reinstall XP you need to use either an OEM XP CD or buy XP CD with its own key.

jelly's right, if you wipe your drive, you'll have to buy a xp cd. and when they mean built in, it was installed in the factory before you bought it so you wouldn't have to install xp when you bought it.
