Default Explorer.exe 100% cpu

Hi, well usually on startup I have to wait 2 minutes for svchost to stop doing its stuff which is annoying but well can't find whats causing it.
But this time I had explorer.exe hogging all the cpu for more than 10 minutes and with not intention of ever stopping.
Ran a lil program and saw that...well explorer.exe ate it up all by itself. Not by the programs running through it.

Any ideas? I'm running AVG Antispy and Nod32 AV. Don't think its a virus but you never know.

COULD it perhaps have to do with me opening a folder BEFORE all the applications had loaded in the taskbar?

Restarting before I kick my pc into ruin :P

Default Re: Explorer.exe 100% cpu

i had a similar problem to this which was caused by a programme that hadnt uninstalled properly worth a check to see if anything has been left behind.
