Default [Resolved] Repairing Windows w/o XP disc

Is it possible to repair Windows w/o having an XP disc? I need to restore my system32 folder because I ran ComboFix and it deleted some or all of the files from that folder.

Thank you.

I read some of your other thread-- you are blaming the program ( & perhaps Pancake) for something that can always happen ( and often does ) when removing any kind of malware or Virus or Trojan. Not his fault-- and probably not Combofix's either.
I suggest that instead of going back to the PC repair shop, that you just make the investment in a copy of your Operating System.

No PC owner should be without an install disc. Period.

I'm not blaming Pancake for anything. I thank him for trying to assist me. For now I'm probably going to go and get it repaired again until I scrounge up the money for a disc.

Hey-- did you check your HJT log thread?
Also --did you check that link I gave you?
The price of that copy of windows-- the repair shop will just do what you'll do with a copy-- and charge you that much to install?

Yup, I checked the thread. The good thing about the guy who works on my PC is that he doesn't screw me over when charging me. The most I've ever paid to get my PC fixed by him is $50. It's usually $20 when I go to him.

OK -- you have a good one... I have seen some horror-stories-- about 80-100 for an install...
