Erm Weird Problem with my Monitor/ Grahpics

Hi again

Urm This keeps happening to my computer

i have no idea what it is.

its been happening for ages but lately more than ever. its begining to anoy me. So do you know what its is and how to fix it

it have a CRT Monitor and my graphics card is Nvida Geforce 6100 but i have ordered a new one

i have the latetest graphics driver for my pc( it seems to have started when i downloaded it)

when i turn my monitor off and on again its still not fixed i have to restart my pc when it happens

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Go to device manager and roll back the driver.

A bad driver install could be causing this.

And where do i find that?

sorry i want to do this quickly before it goes again

Right click on my computer,scroll to properties and open.
Click on hardware tab then on device manager.
Scroll to your graphics card and right click on it and roll back driver.

However I have a feeling your monitor cable or connection maybe the problem.

If you slightly tap your PC desk or tower does this problem occure?

If you are using a PCI graphic card have you turned off onboard GPU in Bios?As conflicts can occure.

Make sure it is seated correctly.

And all pins are not loose or damaged.

Its been sugested by DarkLord that you should open up PC and clean inside get rid of all the dust in there,that this could be a over heating issue.Check your fans are running correctly when PC is powered on and your case is open.

Check your GPU is the fan working?

well one of the pin slots is missing apart from that nothing i've found the graphics card just rolling back the driver now and as i was restarting it happend again and when i booted up the machine

Clean the dust

Make sure to take a brush and get all the dust in the fans and heatsinks. Take a vacuum cleaner if you want, or compressed air

just as an update it is not the monitor i have just hyjacked my dads LCD monitor and it still happens. so now i believe it is the graphics card on my pc i have a quick question to ask

How the hell do you install a graphics card??
