Windows XP/2000 - Task Manager shows CPU is 100% posted in the Operating Systems forums; What can i do about this, the fan on my PC is going like crazy, plus only just noticed this, so the two are probably related, and its really hot ...

Default Task Manager shows CPU is 100%
What can i do about this, the fan on my PC is going like crazy, plus only just noticed this, so the two are probably related, and its really hot where im sitting at the moment, im sweating.

I removed a load of dust a couple of weeks back, perhaps i need to venture inside the case again.

Yes venture inside,while it is on and see if you can tell what is going on in there.
Check fans etc are working.Your machine is running way to hot.
