Windows XP/2000 - Help with my Hijackthis logs posted in the Operating Systems forums; I'm pretty sure it's a "final release" --if not might be better to wait.

Nothing a junk email thing, and i noticed Update for Windows Vista (KB943899)
was canceled, not sure if thats the issue when i try to install it says update does not apply to your system. It does that for every update.

i found it under uninstall programs and stuff, it shows all the others and that so im uninstalling it and going to try to reinstall it. that weird it shows canceled under update history.

That's not a bad idea-- but no guarantees
another thing --after you do that-- you might want to UN/REinstall your video drivers-- somethimes Operating System updates can affect them, too

Okay well after doing the uninstall and reinstall (and rebooting) it said in a bubble near the tray that they were successfully installed, now i go back to update history it still says canceled. And now i have to reinstall Direct X because my games wont open. Actually even after installing dx my games still wont open.
