Default Svchost high usage

After the last two rebbots everything was lagging at startup horribly. I checked with ctrl+alt+del and I saw that svchost was using up 130MB's or ram and all of the cpu. That went on for 4-5 minutes.
Doesn't seem very normal to me....

This can be but is not always malware-caused.
Sometimes it's a conflict between two background apps

Ah nice thanks. But I think I'll just open process explorer next time. Nice program which shows what runs under svchost. I had totaly forgotten about it :P

I kinda doubt its malware related. Didn't dl anything lately

Yeah -- I was going to suggest Process Explorer... I figured if there are other ways... why not?
Malware can come from links/embedded website code... all kinds of stuff, so it is still possible.
