Motherboards from off-the-shelf PC's often have revision after revision-- engineers always tweaking things to save money/speed production and hopefully increase reliability.
This was probably a minor revision that escaped the database.

I followed the tests you talked about in post 30. but when I tryed the second test I got an error file could not be found. The only think I can think of is the only disk I have for this pc is a ( application, Drivers, & Operating System RESTORE DVD)
But there maybe some good form all of this I have just found out there is a Lemon Law for PC's. Hope this one fall under it.
If it dose should I have them replace it , refund it ,or fix it the only two things left to fix are the motherboard and the processer.

Hey Pirky, well that proves you have missing files there, but it's looking for a Windows XP Setup CD at that point. If you can get hold of one of these, just temporarily to get the files you need. You can also purchase these if you have the money. The only remaining alternative would be to do a full restore, providing you can get all your files off your PC and you still have all your setup CD's for your other software.

Madmonky
Update found one of the things that I did wrong . When I got the new memory sticks I placed them in slots 3 and 4 but because this is a daul processor they were to be in a order for them to work right. I found on another forum that they need to be placed in in this order for things to work . Place 1 in slot 1 and the other in slot 3 this way the dual processor will work.
When I first got this pc they had the sticks in slots 1 an 2 so it was done wrong form day one.
I found many different test to down load to check the CPU, SIW, and SIV all are free downloads and a big help. As long as you can understand what the system is showing you. Some I can understand the rest is greek to me.
