It won't fix the problem, but at least you can then go back to the dealer and tell them your findings, and damand quality memory, instead of whatever rubbish memory they have given you at the moment.

This desk top came from UBid.com . I found out the hard way you get what you pay for. They only sell them after that you have to fix it. Hope no one else fell for there low prices like I did.
You think that it is the memory well I checked around and found a place that I can get the same type that is in this desk to for 16.00 each. But I was thinking if it is that wwould I beable to upgrade to the 1GB or 2GB with (keep the fingers crossed ) no more trouble.
If you like you can check them out a www.datamemorysystem.com

Hey Pirky, is that a dead link?

As long as it's not cheap unbranded memory. The best memory to go for is something like Kingston (if you can afford it), if not OCZ, Corsair, Patriot, Mushkin, Crucial or Pqi are reliable, and many even come with up to a lifetime warranty.

Well the ones that I looked at for this pc. Had lifetime a warranty unless that is only as long as it is in there store once out the door lifetime is over. I try to go to the manufacture I find things are cheaper .

MadMonkey
I went and looked up Kingston and Crucial and the prices are about the same. Around 42.00 for 2GB.
They must be higher where you are.
The only thing that I don't under stand is when Crucial scaned my pc to see what I needed they said that my motherboard is model K2BC51G/PV . But on the motherboard is K2BC51 LF will this make a problem for when they scaned my old gateway they came up with what was on the motherboard.
