Default Volume Control Driver Not Installed

I hope it's O.K. to have 2 posts going at the same time. My problem in this post is that when I try to place the volume control on the task bar an error message says the driver has not been installed. I know Dell Support has almost any driver you need for download but for the life of me I cannot find the volume control driver. I have the installation disk but again I can't find the information to provide for an extraction. Help!!!

This is Microsoft's solution for the problem: Volume Icon Is Not Displayed in the Notification Area, and You Receive an Error Message When You Try to Add It
