Smile [Answered]Internet help,XP Updating and Cleaning

Figured I should be correct and just start a thread as we may have a few posts.

your last post:

Do you mean IE7?

What do you want to know?

If she has SP1 still in stalled she needs to uninstall it and get SP2,you can check this by right click my computer scroll to properties and it will be listed there.

Give me a list and I will get you a few tips n tricks.A few updates she could use to improve her XP.

She can use spybot and AVG on xp.She can get IE7 for xp.

You want import/export favs links? To another PC?Then just click on add favs button and use export however the other PC/laptop must be connected to your network.

Ok, she still has the Internet Explorer that comes with XP, I have a screen print if you want too see..?

I was going to link her to the download for the latest Explorer, the same as Vista, I used to use that on my xp as the tab feature is just easier that so many windows.

But I didnt want to cause her to loose all her links, and wanted to know how to save them before the update, or how to move them over with the update, so the new internet has them etc.

But yes I was also going to do the AVG and Apybot things, as you mentioned her Networking with me, Im thinking get her to install the AVG, Spybot and running them before we go any further at all.

then when we have the new internet, was going to get her to do the internet options regarding the temp folders and history you informed me off. When she has come back from dropping her daughter at school, I will get that info you requested, so you can suggest some other tips for making her pc work better.

No need to save IE 7 just download and run she may need to reboot after install. No promise favs will not be lost.

let me get you links for uninstall SP1 and install SP2.

If her laptop is a few years old she could do with a little more RAM so it will run faster and she will be able to open more pages of IE.
