| Windows XP/2000 - Recovery Partitions posted in the Operating Systems forums; I have read about recovery disks, etc. but I cannot find a definition of RECOVERY PARTITIONS. Does anybody know about them and can explain how thay work?... |

Hi Dontee, a recovery Partition is basically the same as a recovery disc but all the information and files needed to recover your PC are stored on the hard disc in a seperate partition, A Partition is basically when you take a hard disc and split it up into smaller chunks, the recovery partition is on one of those chunks..
