Hi Guys,

I am not completely computer illiterate but this problem has got me stumped....

A current machine started playing up with a blue screen when logging in so i re-formatted and reinstalled windows. All seems fine except:

It doesnt recognise the network connection.. ie cant connect to the internet etc
The monitor will only display 16 colour 640x(whatever the lowest is?!) and it wont let me install monitor drivers etc to fix this issue?

ANy ideas? Have tried re-re-installing etc?

Doesn't sound like you have installed any of the drivers. What is the make and model of your PC?

Hi thanks. It is a dell dimension 1100

the thing is i cant connect to the internet or network to download things? Any idea how I would add drivers??

Hey wf, you can download all the drivers you need from the Dell web site here: Drivers & Downloads=

Download the drivers,BIOS update,chipset from madmonkeys link and save then put them to cd/dvd or floppy.then take and put cd/dvd or floppy in to dell pc.

I agree with you guys..

It is all drivers.. And you never ever need to install a monitors drivers (they are worthless)

you just need yer chipset and video drivers...(chipset drivers will auto install yer ethernet connection.
