Default [Fixed] Going nuts here! someone help me! Please

I use AVG free edition and spysweeper
For the last 2 days my pc wont let me download ANYTHING!
I turn off avg and spysweeper and still wont let me download nothing.
I did not change anything anywhere!
heres the message I get when I hit a file to open either online or a file in an email.


"Security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"

Welcome to PC Help Forum

Here's something to try;

via internet explorer

click on tools
click on internet options
click on security
click on custom level
scroll down till you get to downloads in the security section
click and enable automatic prompting for downloads
click and enable file download
click ok

If you have Windows Update on automatic-- there were probably security updates that changed the settings

Vulnerable ? it depends-- you are running a personal firewall--and i don't mean XP's built-in one, right ?
If you are not-- you should be...!
Even with Spysweeper and AVG

also when you get files in email-- you should be able to right-click on that file and scan before you open it. (with AVG)
Email is one of the number one ways that viruses are spread.
Some viruses-- as soon as a PC is infected-- copy and email themselves to everyone in your address book-- before you even know they are there.

I have a router so my firwall is in there.
and yes I do have auto windows update. I guess thats what happened!

Doing the same thing again!
I go to settings to correct it but about every other day it goes back to not letting me download..has the same message appearing
is this spyware?

I have AVG and spysweeper!
