Windows XP/2000 - computer will not play .wmv video files posted in the Operating Systems forums; My windows XP computer will not play .wmv flles on any of the video apps that I have. Can anyone help me with this?...

Default computer will not play .wmv video files
My windows XP computer will not play .wmv flles on any of the video apps that I have. Can anyone help me with this?

Default Re: computer will not play .wmv video files
The file may of been coded using a diffrent codecs.Do you get an error code?


"Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported. (Error=80040265)" error message when you try to play a media file in Windows Media Player
