I am not that good on computers and I don't know technical terms but I will try my best.

Heres the story yesterday morn my daughter was on the pc and everything seemed fine, I closed it down and then later that day I switched it back on and the normal memory count then the verifying pool data screen came on then that was it, The screen went black but the fans and the light were still on, the disc was still spinning and the mouse light was on. I tried leaving it to see if if would come on but no joy. I then tried starting it in safe mode still nothing. So next I pressed the del button as instructed on the screen at start up and i got a blue screen with a menu on with things like advanced bios and cmos on. I have even tried a ultimate bootable cd that i down loaded on a seperate lap top and I got a different screen that said your computer is preparing to start this might take a few minutes, 2 hours later it still hadn't. To be honest i don't knw if te bootable cd would have made a difference but i was desperate so i tried it.

Are you able to get to safe mode?Reboot pc and repeatedly tap F8.Or either del,F1 or F2 to enter Bios?

No i can't get it to start in safe mode

can you get into BIOS?Reboot pc and either press F1,F2,Del.IF the post screen shows,black screen white writting it will prompt for one of those keys to be hit to enter setup.If the black screen shows with the white words does it show every thing like hard drive,floppy drive and so on.Is there any that says fail?Like floppy disk fail?Or another?
