Unfinished Threads - screen goes black after verifying pool data screen posted in the Community forums; ok well the only bios menu that i can get on is when starting up and pressing del is that any good...

in the advanced bios it has quick boot, virus warning, bot sequence etc

You need to find error checking and turn it off not sure how your bios is set up,try advance tab first.

Read this also:_Computer stops at verifying dmi pool data....

I belive maybe when computer is off take out BIOS battery out for one minute may help.It seems there maybe a defective bit of hardware on your computer.
Then under boot tab set first boot to cd rom and use the boot disk.

Or this link on msdos boot disks etc rather than cd.maybe it is your cd that is defective.How to create a boot disk.


I think you would be better using floppy boot disks.what operating system are you using xp?pro or home?vista?etc

on this link you will see how to create boot disks and if you scroll down it gives you links on the download file for wich OS and SP1 or 2 wich ever you have installed you must download correct file.It aslo tells you how to create and use.How to obtain Windows XP Setup boot disks
