Default [Resolved] Frequent computer crashes - please help

My computer has started crashing regularly a few months ago, at first it was just once in a while, now it is several times each day. I don't know what to do. Hoping that someone can understand what this means and advise. I am not a computer expert, but a comfortable user. Thank you for your help.

Hello Ellen, welcome to PCHF.

The 9c Blue Screen of Death is a very serious hardware error, normally a result of failing hardware, overheating or pushing your hardware beyond it's capabilities (such as overclocking). If you could post those two files listed in your Event Logs, we should be able to narrow it down a little further:

C:\documen~1\ellenb~1\locals~1\temp\WER9587.dir00\ Mini013108-02.dmp
C:\documen~1\ellenb~1\locals~1\temp\WERcf67.dir00\ Mini013108-02.dmp
^ Take a look a BSOD's on my signature if you unsure about how to post.

Sounds like you have some sort of popup blocker installed? Can you disable the blocker or allow the popup?

my browser is malfunctioning. the pop ups are already allowed for this site, but it did not work until i disabled the blocker completely. I think it may be a sign of a bigger problem. My computer is only 6-8 months old build by a friend who has build many and they all work. it is very powerful but i don't super anything as i don't know how. I am very grateful for your help.

Thanks for those, I'm just analysing them now. What is the make and model of your PC?

As your PC is homebuilt-- it might be a good idea to read my "canned hardware speech"

I suggest-- when you repost-- go into User CP under "edit options" --scroll down the list.List all your hardware in the spaces..Please include brands and models -for motherboard / RAM /HD's etc.
-- at the top-- there is an option to "allow others to view my specs" click on yes. It saves a lot of time between posts if while you check something we can go look up your mobo manufacturer's site and read the manual.
You can also list your OS...all this is a great time-saver for us-- we can view everything quickly to refresh our memories... as we are all working multiple threads at once.This would be automatic from that point on-- so if you have another problem six months from now-- we can instantly know what you have.

@mad forgive my intrusion
