Exclamation Printer Message??

While my computer boots up, on the main desktop, a message appears saying as follows:

"The print spooler was unable to connect to your printer. This can be caused by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged or being connected to a VPN, which will block your access to your local network. Your document will print when the printer becomes available."

I don't have a printer for this computer.
I'm not connect via VPN.

HELP?

Default Re: Printer Message??

Go to Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes

Is there anything there, if so, click on it just once so it's selected and to the left hit "Delete This Printer"

This is assuming your computer is using Windows XP, if it's using Win 2000 it might be different, I don't really know...

It is possible that in a former life this computer may have had a printer connected to it and after the printer was disconnected a document was still pending in it's print queue

Right click on it and hit "Open", if there's anything listed in the window that pops up select it and go to "Document" at the top menu and hit "Cancel"
The printer will still be installed but the documents won't be in queue to print
If there are pending print jobs and you successfully cancel them, try again to delete this printer
