Default switching drives

I have two drives C and D. dual boot
C has my old OS windowsME(still works great)
D has winXP pro.
I want to switch ribbons putting the D drive on the pri master and the C on sec master. I know when I do this the drive letters will switch. My question is does anyone know of a program to edit the registry so I can change all the D: references to C.
