Hi, I recently reformatted my system and i ran into a problem. Before I reformatted the front panel USB ports worked (2 of them), but now after reformatting they are not recognized by XP.

Is there a simple solution to this? I dont believe i bumped any jumpers since i reformatted but i dont know what could be the problem. My guess is that maybe the front panel USB ports were defaulted to being "off" but i dont know how i can activate them.

PS. in the Device manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers i have these options:
- Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
- Standard OpenHCB USB Host Controller
- USB Composite Device
- USB Mass Storage Device --*(I think these 2 are for my external harddrive)
- USB Mass Storage Device *
- USB Mass Storage Device -- ipod was plugged in
- USB Printing Support
- USB Root Hub
- USB Root Hub

Hi do the USB ports work at the back of the PC? Also what make and model is the PC maybe there are some drivers that need to be loaded did you download and install the latest ones for your PC?
