Default Please help!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum so apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I have a Acer aspire 5601 and I have recently uninstalled my Acer orbicam (it is a built in one). Now I have my computer giving me constant notifications saying :

"files needed, the file lv321av.sys on logitech USB video camera disk is needed"

How do I stop this message? I don't want to install the camera again as it has a hardware issue that keeps shutting my computer down with a ugly blue error screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Mary-Ann

Hello, and welcome to PCHF.

I would think that the uninstallation was not done properly...it seems that there is still a remnant service of the logitech driver.

Go to Start > Run and type:
services.msc

Press Enter.

Is there anything there related to Logitech camera? Do not remove anything yet.

It could be...

Right-click that service, and disable it.

Restart your PC. Do you still get the error message?

Hi,

Rebooted and still got the same message. The service was already "stopped" so I clicked on the properties and disabled it. Figured it couldn't do much harm. Rebooted and it still came up.
