Windows XP/2000 - meida player error posted in the Operating Systems forums; everytime when i open this video, this message pop up. i tried all 3 button, but still no good. i tired update my directX and MS visual C++, but still ...

Default meida player error

everytime when i open this video, this message pop up.
i tried all 3 button, but still no good. i tired update my directX and MS visual C++, but still the same.

Try this:
1.Locate the Temp folder on your computer.
Note Typically, this folder is located in C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings, where User Name is your user name.

2.Right-click Temp, and then click Properties.

3.Under Attributes, click to clear the check box for Read-only.
Note The Confirm Attribute Changes dialog box may appear (this behavior depends on the contents of your Temp folder). If this dialog box appears, click Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files, and then click OK.

4.Click OK.

well, i tried thsoe steps. when i clear the box for read-only and click ok and ok.
than i go back and try the video, but still didnt work. so i go back and check the read-only box. it was automatic turn it back ok, for some reason..

at the end, it didnt work.

yes, other type of video works fine.

i found a way to fix it, i just need to converted to a different type of formate, thanks for the help.
