Default how to Repartition reformat already partitioned hard drive hard drive?

Hello, I ran into a few driver errors with creative and I want to do a fresh install of my windows xp pro. I ran xp disc and restart but it wont let me delete the current partion where "previious version of windows" is installed. Basically I want to reinstall windows xp, wipe everything clean and start fresh. I did many searches but could only find info on splitting partions and dividing them. I want to start as if I installed a new cpu or Motherboard. How can I go about doing this? I ran EASEUS partition manager demo and tried to delete c: but it did nothing. I also uninstalled driver C and it still kept all the files. Please help if you can. Thanks

Searching windows help I found this that worries me:
"Important
  • You can not uninstall Windows XP Professional if you:
    • Changed your hard disk configuration; for example, if you have converted from FAT to NTFS or have created new partitions. "

In the installation procedure of XP you should be able to delete the partition...any partition. Make sure you back up anything you don't want to lose before you do that.

Hey thanks for the reply. I tried to delete the partition in setup and a screen came up saying that this partition has setup files that are required for installing xp and wont let me delete. I dont remember it saying that with the original installation. Is there a way to override it or??
Thanks again
