Default [Answered] Invalid_kernel_handle

I've got a big problem with our laptop. Every so often when we turn laptop on a blue screen comes up with this on it.

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to you computer.

INVALID_KERNEL_HANDLE

Then a load of tech stuff about how to solve the problem which I don't understand

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete

Does anyone know what could be causing this to come up? It seems to coinside with when our son has been on Runescape.com. It may have nothing to do with it, I don't know

Hi there, can you get into Windows on it now? If so, navigate to C:\WINDOWS\minidump and upload any BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) logs located in there.

I'm not actually on the laptop at the moment, I'm on the PC. I'll try to get to that file in safe mode and maybe save to cd and then upload from PC.

Can't even log into any accounts on laptop at the moment

Ok then try that, if it doesn't work, and you have an XP CD, you could try a repair install.

ok, managed to get to log in to account on laptop, looked in minidump and the folder is empty.

Beforehand I did run CCleaner and Ashampoo 2007 to clear some junk out in safe mode but to honest there was an awful lot of junk and now it seems to be ok, for now

After looking the error up, it appears its a driver issue. Have you installed any new drivers lately?

Not that I'm aware of. I don't use the laptop my fiancee does and I doubt very much if she knows how to install drivers lol... I'm a bit concerned as this seemed to started when my son started going on runescape.com. Also he installed limewire without our knowledge and downloads music, again without our knowledge. Just hope he hasn't unwittingly infected the laptop with a virus or something. He says he hasn't used limewire though, whether he has I don't know.

Is there any checks I can run on laptop to find out what the problem is?
