Unhappy mouse problems

Hi,

My mouse keeps connecting and disconnecting - it works fine for the few seconds when it is connected, so i assume the drivers are ok.

I have also checked the lead, which looks ok.

Can anyone help?

Is it a wired or wireless mouse?
Is it USB?
Have you tried it in another USB slot?

It is wired,

Yes, it is USB

I tried it in a different usb slot and it worked for a while, then started doing the same again.
