asus ps4800, 450watts, I updated the bios from asus via a: floppy, i think!
it is now 1008, but asus says that the newest var is 1007?
and i downloaded 1007 and unzipped to floppy and restarted with floppy in and boot asked me to take it out!
do i have to go in to dos?
and run AFLASH.EXE.
??
then reboot in bois mode and select f10, reseting and reboot?
there are two bios the a flash the one i do in dos and the regular one that i got that just says bios
what one do i use?
I WENT IN TO BIOS AND TRIED THE ABOVE BUT IT SAYS THAT IT IS NOT A VALAD COMMAND!

If you are running v1008, and you just updated it, and it isnt fixed, dont revert to the old one. ok, go into Windows, download speedfan from my sig, and tell me, if it shows, what teh +5v rail is running.

That is not what im talking about. when speedfan opens, look at the bottom of the window, in the bottom left hand box, and it should have several voltages.

yes it will. i think i found part of your problem, but i need to confirm these results with a screenshot. can you please post a screenshot of the speedfan window? those voltages look pretty bad. especially the -5v. I also have to talk to someone else about this to confirm my suspicion.
