Default Intel DQ35JO Suspect a dodgy board???

right i got this new system the other day and i have noticed that the main motherboard BIOS menu is very slow. and the boot screens like the memory test.
everything is like 1 frame every second.

I also noticed that the ICH8 South Bridge chip is seriously overheating.
put it this way i cannot keep my fingers on it for more than three seconds.
The motherboard is an
(Intel Executive Series Desktop Board DQ35JO 1333mhz FSB).

is the heat issue normal for this type of board, and why would the BIOS screen and Boot screens be slow. Runs OS perfectly?
Anyone got any ideas.

Hi and welcome to PC Help Forum

There is a very recent BIOS update for your board here: Download Search Results

Give it a go and post back the results.

I new I forgot to mention something, But have already done the BIOS update and the only thing that allowed me to do was to make the pc recognize my HIS Radeon HD 2600 Pro. Did'nt solve the slow BIOS Menu. Getting very annoying now seems to be getting slower. much slower. scary I think it's gonna come to a stop if it carry's on this way.
Would not go past boot screen with Video Card in PCI-E slot. BIOS update only resolved that issue but not the HEATED UP IHC8 Southbridge...
This is gonna be a tough 1......
