My acer aspire 3000 laptop is simply destoryed. Explorer.exe has become corrupted and I can no longer use my laptop (all I get is my background wallpaper, nothing else). I think a virus may have caused this.

If anybody knows how to reset to factory defaults or simply fix the problem, please post. I'm in university using my friends desktop, and the laptop is all I have. Sorry for this to be my first thread....

Is there anyway I can reformat my laptop before windows starts up?

I know tripple posting in my own thread is terrible...

Safe mode doesn't even work, I'm really lost. Major thanks to anyone that can help me out.

Screw it, used debug mode and ran a virus scan. Case closed.
