hi i am having problems trying to defrag my computer, i select the c: drive and hit the defrag button and it tells me that"disk fragmenter has detected that chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: (C. please run chkdsk/f" i searched for the file chkdsk and it has tied with a software disk with my mp3 player i deleated the software since i can still find the disk, but the prompt still pops up when i try to defrag... i tried restarting it but i keep getting the same thing any ideas?

Hi there tilly. never seen this before, so we'll try this. Please open Start>>All programs>>Acessories>>command prompt. at the prompt, type in chkdsk/f a new line of text will open, asking to run chkdsk when you restart. type Y and then enter. then restart your computer and try to defrag again
