Default Screen Resolution??

Hi Im using a new computer on a domain that logs in under several users. It has a LCD screen that constantly sets itself to a 1280 by 1024 res when you log in. I keep changing it back to 1024 by 768 which is what I want but it resets itself, is there any way of stopping this its really annoying??

Many Thanks

Hi philharris,

The only way to do that, is to log on as the local administrator account and set the resolution there.
This however effects all the users who are using the computer.

Hi I tried this but as soon as the computer restarts it goes back to the high resolution. Is there a group policy where you can set the screen res on the computer itself?

Figured this one out. Under msconfig and startup, theres a service called setrefresh. Disabling this from running at the startup prevents the screen resolution from changing.
