Default Audio Recording Issue- Can't record Microphone and Environment Audio at same time

Hello it's me again,

I'm not able to record my microphone and the sounds of the game I'm recording. It's either the microphone and no game sound or the other way around.

Someone said to me that this was a motherboard issue, which causes to not be able to seperately record these sounds.

I tried some programs to record the other sound that Fraps couldn't record, but they are all linked to the settings of my Audio-Panel, so they also record one audio-source specifically.

For the microphone I have: Plantronics Headset
For the sounddriver I have: SoundMAX HD Audio.

Does anyone know the solution?

Hello DunkinDonut,

Computer sound cards are rather limited unless you pay the big money. If I understand you correctly then my suggestion would be to find an audio editing program then capture the audio from each source separately. Then use the editing program to combine the tracks. You might try disable your onboard sound and us an addin sound card. Wish I had more to give. I've never had to use a computer like that. I always had a 16 or 24 channel mixer to work with...
