Can anyone help me get my sound back. It's disappeared with 2 programs. It's been working fine for ages but all of sudden and for no obvious reason it's gone.

Programs affected are:

PKR Poker
Freight Tycoon ('Sound' is now faded in the list of options in the games options menu)

Try looking for a speaker configuration, i had a problem i while back whereby the config thaught i had surround sound, so it played all the sounds that were behind me (in the game) to rear speakers, which did not exist since i didnt have them.. Maybe the leads are connected in the wrong ports at the back of the pc, or they have been knocked out of place? Or maybe you just have to change some volume settings on the configurations, if you dont have an EAX sound card, dissable the feature that is sometimes present in game's audio options menu's. This is all i can think of right now as i dont know the full extent of your problem , nor have i ever used these programs and i seriously doubt a poker game can enable surround sound, but you never know Hope this helps
