Hello,
I've recently been having a problem when starting up my computer I get a blank white screen, (but it seems windows is possibly still running in the background as my computer is making loading noises and I hear my start up sound). I have to reboot my computer once or twice then Windows will run without futher problem.
I attempted a System Restore, setting my system back prior to the white screen occuring, but it had no effect.
I've no idea what is causing this or what to do about it. Any help much appreciated!

Thankyou for replying.
I'm no computer expert, so sorry if I don't give quite the right information, if you need to know anything else, please just ask/instruct me how to gain the information. My PC - OS: Microsoft windows XP, media centre edition, version 2002, computer is an advent, intel pentium 4 processor. hardware - I'm not sure exactly what you want to know here, is it possible to be more specific please? - no real changes made, aside probably about a month ago deleting a music sharing file program 'bearshare' and 'Zango' which was some advert program that you had to load along with it. I hope the above is helpful. |

Discovered something else, occassionally when I boot the computer, words appear on the white screen but fade too quickly for me to properly read, all I can catch is something about 'usb'
Today when I finally got windows to run, I get a message telling me 'new hardware found' (I haven't installed any new hardware recently) I clicked on it, nothing happened except an error message popped up telling me something about logitechdesktop. Logitech is my webcam. I remembered I deleted a logitech icon from the icon tray some time ago, because it kept sliding annoying messages across my screen to get me to visit the logitech website. Could this be some sort of problem with a usb port??? |
