My Mom & Dad just purchased a new computer from Dell....and hate the Vista operating system. I have a valid XP install disc. Can I reformat and install or will I have trouble running peripherals, drivers, etc. If you could point me to a good website that would be fine as well.

If Dell sent you a drivers disk, then you should have no problem. Just boot from the CD and run Setup. Pretty self explanatory really.
If you didn't get driver disk, call Dell and tell them to ship the CDs to you. How to install or upgrade to Windows XP |
