Hello, I have Windows XP SP2, and when I started my computer today all the icons look very different, I don't like it, and was wondering how to change them back.

Hello RC, welcome to PCHF.

Looks like you have a Windows 9x version of the Windows icon library.

- In *theory*, if you download this version:
http://212.159.76.140/pchf/shell32.dll - and replace it with the version you currently have in c:\windows\system32 folder.
- Then delete the icon cache database in c:\documents and settings\ your username \local settings\application data\iconcache.db
- Reboot your PC and see if this makes any difference.

I'll assume this problem has been sorted, I'll mark the thread appropriately. If anything RC-1291, just post back.
