Default Re: virural memory

Hi there

The virtual memory should not be a problem to fix (as long as there is enough space on your hard drive)
WinKey+Pause/Break
Start -> Run and type sysdm.cpl
My Computer -> Properties
Any of the above methods will get you to System Properties

From there click the following tabs
Advanced -> (Performance) Settings -> Advanced -> Change
Set the memory to System managed size

If there are any problems doing this, please create some space on your hard drive C: partition. It is possible to extend the pagefile beyond the C: partition if necessary.
If your drive is full then this will cause a problem with updates and virtual memory.

Pagefile Optimization

If that does not sort your problem, please post back giving details of the "plus other things"

Short term solution:
A format and reinstall will sort the problem with virtual memory as Windows will set the default value.
