Windows XP/2000 - trials posted in the Operating Systems forums; hi guys can anyone tell me why whenever i d/load a trial program (ie adobe cs3) when i open it up it asks for a activation number... well i put ...

hi guys can anyone tell me why whenever i d/load a trial program (ie adobe cs3)
when i open it up it asks for a activation number... well i put this in and it still wont let me use it.
then i noticed that it say,s my 30 day trial has expired
i,ve not even had it on my pc for 10 mins

hi cowburn
no mate it give me a serial number when i d/load it so when i put the code in it says i need a serial number then i notice that it says my free 30day trial has expired but i,ve only just d/loaded it the same day

This usually indicates that you have already had the trial version installed and that it expired. Even if you uninstall the trial software, the anti piracy settings will have been set and will remain in place until you perform a complete re-install.
These settings will more than likely disallow the use of a second trial version.

If this is not the case then you ought to contact the support peeps for the software at issue.

Pops is correct, you will need to contact adobe through email or phone (Look on their website).

Are you saying Adobe CS3 has spyware? To monitor installations without the program being installed, the "anti piracy settings" would have to be spyware. If so, then I will also be calling adobe, and lets just say I wont be asking any questions.
