Boot Disk Trouble.......XP (SP2)
Hi all,
I am having trouble as I am trying to reformat windows with my XP (SP2) boot disk. I have tried a few different variations on this but no go.
1. Boot disk in CDROM and started come to a screen that indicates how I would like to start, i.e normally, safe mode etc and none of these work.
2. Been into BIOS and set boot order as, floppy drive, CDROM, HD and get a message, asking to insert boot disk and press key I do this and it repeats itself again and again on pressing a key.
3. Into BIOS and set boot order to CDROM first and get a message, asking to insert boot disk and press key I do this and it repeats itself again and again on pressing a key.
I am sure thr disk works as it worked on another PC recently, I have tried changing CD Drive again no joy, what else could be the issue here? Is there some setting in BIOS I can change, something to do with how I have connected the IDE cables perhaps?
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks in advance.
