Which "low disk space" message are you getting Dave? There are a couple of 'em. Does yours relate to Virtual memory or hard disk space (check "My Computer" for current drive usage).

i'm getting the hard drive "low disk space" message. when i check on my computer/properties almost the entire drive is used up? isn't norton rather a large program? shouldn't i have more free space with it gone - not less?

Not necessarily. Norton itself, though a program that can bog down a computer, may only be about a GB. If you are downloading a lot of video or pictures, that can fill up a hard drive vary rapidly. That's where I would think to start anyway.
