Default File & Settings Transfer Wizard Problem

Problem: Transfer present files/settings from one computer to the same computer. Reason: Present OS is corrupted and runs slowly, some applications don't work. I used the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard and got a Directory named: USMT2.UNC that contained a file named IMG00001.dat and another file named Status. I copied this file to a flash drive. Then I reformatted the drive, reinstalled windows XP. I copied the USMT2.UNC folder to the hard drive in a new folder. Then I ran the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard, selected New Computer, Selected I don't need the Wizard Disk. Selected Other, Browse, found the file on the Crive and clicked Next. I got the following message: The location that you have specified does not contain the stored information.
Any suggestions?
