Default USB Wireless adapter issue

Good morning!

Ok - so we have a wireless connection in our house, 1 router with an ethernet connetion to a PC and one to the XBOX, one laptop connecting using wireless, and one pc connecting wireless.

The latter of the pc's was working fine until this morning when the USB adapter just wasnt being regonised by the computer. Im fairly sure its a computer issue as i plugged the adapter into my laptop and it was detected instantly (although the drivers wernt installed so i could use it)

The green light on the USB adapter just wont turn on, tried all of the USB ports and nothing. Then tried a Phone USB adapter in the ports and it works fine.

Worked until this morning with a few issues of having to replugin the USB for it to work but now its just stopped working full stop!

Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks in advance-
leigh

Morning... have you tried uninstalling the adaptor in device manager and then reinstalling it? I had issues with my wireless adaptor and this worked for me...D

do you use the extender cable or do you just plug it straight into a usb port? i have found that the cable is a bit on the rubbish side and the adaptor never seems to fit in properly...D
