this may be in the wrong section but here goes

where do i find out of im 32 Bit or 64 Bit?

i have the Ecs KV2 Lite motherboard on socket 939 K8T800 Pro Chipset

AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20GHz

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2

erm not sure what else to say can anyone help?

Hi Villain... did a quick bit of googling and it appears that it is 64 bit....http://www.amd.com/gb-uk/Processors/...E13076,00.html heres the Amd website with your processor info...D

The processor may be 64bit but doesnt mean it is running at 64bit. It depends on your operation system.

If your not sure whether you are 64bit or 32bit your probably 32bit as that is the standard bit for most pcs. But we can check.

Go to start, run, type in winver then press enter. If it doesnt say 64bit then you have 32bit

Thanks i did the winver in run and it never showed and did say physical memory available to windows 3,144,104 KB so yeah 32 Bit,,Gutted lol

What is your reason for finding out?

Are you looking to upgrade to a different operating system or something?

Your hardware may be compatible.

Ill give this link from Microsoft about determining bit for more information:

i would of liked to upgrade my memory but being 32Bit i dont see there as much point may aswell stick with the 3 x 1GB Memory sticks as i can't realy go any higher
