Exactly as the title states. Every time I leave my computer idle enough for the screensaver to activate, I go to my computer to find that I've been logged out. Any applications that were running at the time are listed as "(x) programs running" under my login name. If anyone can possibly help me out I'd very much appreciate it.

this is not a malfunction at all. go to the desktop, right click on an open area, click "properties" click "screensaver" tab, and uncheck the box that says "on resume password protect" that should fix it.

In the 'screensaver' tab; as mentioned above............in the 'monitor power' section at the bottom, you should find an 'POWER' button...............click on that................at the bottom of the 'power schemes' tab there is a variety of options..............some of the options may be set to a short time (very good if running on a laptop battery) but they can be altered. Make sure they are set to lengthy times - sounds like the 'system standby' is the option you might need to look at.
