Default [Resolved] Booting from CD problems...

I'm trying to install windows XP home edition on my computer and I set my computer to boot from CD and I turn my computer on and when It says 'Press any key to boot from CD...'
and I press a key and it just freezes right there and does nothing else. The only thing that I can think of is something is possibly wrong with the disc that I have.. or am I doing something wrong?

Did you try cleaning the cd? Look at it, is it scratched, any smudges?
You can borrow a friends cd but make sure you use your license key
