I need User Account time control.
I'm not sure if this is the right section to ask about this, but it is pertaining to the use of the OS so...
Hey all, hows everyone doing, happy thanksgiving if your celebrating it. I need a piece of software to help me regulate the use of my little sisters pc. I have 3 younger sisters, 2 of wich use a pc in their room. I want to regulate how long each account (they have separate accounts , separate passwords) can be in use. I'd like it to basically stay hidden and allow me (the admin) to control various things mainly the time usage but maybe also internet stuff, file access ect. but from their viewpoint all I want them to see is a huge clock countdown for hoe much longer they have to use it.
Essentially I'd like a timer, set it for say, 2 hours per account everyday no specific time, and the 2 hours counts down till they leave or log off or something and it pause, whenever they log on again for that day the timer starts where it left off and it basically warns them when time is about to run out.
I tried a few so far, user time control was the perfect gui and nice, but it was dealing with tables, i needed a basic timer, as in all through the day just timing, but it controlled their usage based on their XP accounts. And another called xpcop, which is great in all the features, but its not so hidden, it requires them to login separate than their user accounts on XP.
So I guess im basically looking for the best of both worlds here. Anyhelp would be great.
Lil note, id hate to restrict 'em so much, i mean i got to where i am with pc's cuz of no restrictions, but their not using it in the most...benificial way so this is a lil way to help them doing the right things. Thanks All.
