Default Boot.ini looks strange, can anyone help?

Ok so I recently went on an adventure with Ubuntu Linux. It was nice but I found it wasn't for me so I uninstalled it. One bad thing led to another and I ended up having to do a "bootcfg /rebuild, fixboot, and fixmbr" to be able to boot back into Windows. Upon examining my boot.ini when I got back in it looked like this:

[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windo ws XP Media Center Edition (Rebuild)"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windo ws XP Media Center Edition" /noexecute=optin/fastdetect /usepmtimer
C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons

I know the last entry "C:\CMDCONS . . . . " is for my Recovery Console. But when choosing either of the Media Center options on boot, my PC will boot from both now, whereas before I did the rebuild, I couldn't boot from the second one (which was my original option, the rebuild is the one I created from the bootcfg process). Would it be safe to tag the first option with the parameters "/noexecute=optin/fastdetect /usepmtimer" and delete the second entry altogether? I don't like having my boot menu filled with two XP options.

I hope all of this is understandable.

Yes I see no reason why it wouldnt work. Edit it and try it before you remove the second entry

I really don't think you need to worry, just confirm your actions before removing the other entry
