Default does my pc need binning?

hi all, I am new to all this and am my witts end, 2 weeks ago i found ot that my daughters pc was bleeping a lot and for a long time. i was told that the cpu was at fault and i should remove it and then re bed it. I did this and sure enough the bleeping has stopped, Now however the computer wont turn on at all, the disc drive lights very briefly com on and then go off and the cpu fan comes on and stays on and that is it. no monitor, keyboard or mouse functions in fact nothing. the pc is a intel with a AMI BIOS and a 1ghz genuineintel processor as i cant turn it on i cant get any info on it but to the best of my knolledge here is all the info that i do have...

Hello and Welcome to PCHF

Did you re-apply the thermal paste after re-seating the cpu? This is very important that you did it properly, you could have fried your processor.
I think the bleeping stopped as a result of another reason. What I mean is you may not know if it stopped because it is not booting properly as before.
Please double check you have all your connections tightly fitted and connected to the proper pieces of hardware.

Do you hear a POST beep when powered on?
